Overcoming the challenges of breastfeeding can be difficult for both mothers and their babies. At Methodist, our certified lactation consultants are prepared to provide both information and encouragement. We specialize in offering one-on-one care and instruction to help you breastfeed comfortably and successfully.

Lactation consultants can assist new mothers with: 

• Knowing whether your baby is getting enough milk
• Becoming comfortable nursing multiples or babies with special needs
• Learning how to pump and store milk safely
• Identifying the cause of breast pain or infections

Our consultants are prepared to provide you with the support and attention you need, whether you are breastfeeding in the hospital or at home.
