Prepared Childbirth Education Classes
From A to Zen – Creating a Mind/Baby Connection – Ten Weeks
This 10-week class provides education, activities and guided meditation, as well as support and encouragement to help you achieve a relaxed and holistic pregnancy and childbirth experience. This class includes “Breastfeeding Basics” and a tour of Methodist Women’s Hospital.
From Belly Bump to Bassinet – Six Weeks
Explore comfort techniques for labor, the importance of labor support and learn how to care for your newborn. Through education, women are able to make informed decisions about their birthing experiences. This class includes “Breastfeeding Basics” and a tour of Methodist Women’s Hospital.
From Belly Bump to Bassinet – All-Day Saturday Class
This day-long class is a condensed version of our six-week class and focuses on the educational aspect of labor, delivery and newborn care. Lunch is provided. A tour of Methodist Women’s Hospital is included. Register separately for Breastfeeding Basics.
From Contractions to Cuddling – An Encore – Evening Class
Even experienced parents can benefit from an encore class before their next delivery. Learn current delivery practices, including a refresher on comfort and breathing techniques.

Bringing Bundles of Joy into the World
Labor, delivery, feeding and parenting are different for parents expecting multiples.
Big Kid Basics
Help your children (ages 3-12) prepare for their new brother or sister. The class includes a children’s tour of the mother-baby floor where mom and baby will stay after delivery.
Family & Friends Baby Prep
Help loved ones get properly prepped with this newborn care basics class.
Cost: $10 for first family member plus $5 for each additional family member.
Breastfeeding Basics
Learn the benefits of breastfeeding. Sign up for this class if you are taking the Saturday session of “Belly Bump to Bassinet”.
Expectant Family Tour
Free tours of all areas where mothers and babies will receive care are held on selected mornings and evenings. Tours are for adults only, and advance registration is required. Tours for children are provided in the “Big Kid Basics” class.

Breastfeeding moms will get helpful advice from our lactation consultants to ease the return to the workplace.
Baby & Me
Get together with other new moms and their babies (up to one year of age) for this fun, free interactive class lead by a certified Methodist Women’s lactation consultant.
