One of the most popular aesthetic procedures at the Skin Renewal Suite at Methodist Physicians Clinic Women’s Center, photorejuvenation uses the Alma AFT Pulsed Light Laser to remove age spots, brown pigmentation and redness. In addition, it lightens dull complexions, evens out pigmentation, reduces large pores and fades red flushing skin and rosacea.
Because the light is applied in a series of gentle pulses, the light penetrates the sub-surface skin layers without damaging the exterior skin layers. Because of this, there is no extended period of redness or swelling following treatment.
What to expect
Treatment lasts anywhere from 15 – 30 minutes per session for 3 – 5 sessions. You may return to your normal activities immediately after treatment, unless specified differently by your skin renewal specialist. Your specialist will also recommend avoiding sun exposure after treatment.
